The Brecon Beacons

The Brecon Beacons is a mountain range in South Wales. The name refers to the range of Old Red Sandstone peaks popular with walkers which lie to the south of Brecon. The Brecon Beacons National Park is only the fifth destination in the world to be granted prestigious International Dark Sky Reserve status making it Wales’ first International Dark Sky Reserve.

This is a fantastic place for an activity holiday, with superb walking, mountain biking and horse riding trails, caves, forests and a historic canal – plus characterful towns, pubs, farmers markets and Michelin-starred restaurants.
