The Cairngorms National Park

The Cairngorms National Park is in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. It is the largest national park in the UK and is one of the country's most special and cared for landscapes with a wide variety of traditional and unique villages and communities such as Aviemore, Angus Glens, Atholl and Glenshee, Tomintoul and Glenlivet and the Royal Deeside and Donside areas.

There is something for everyone from castles, distilleries and gentle strolls to fun parks, quad bikes and extreme sports. The Cairngorms contain some of the best wildlife habitats in the UK. Ancient pine forests, arctic mountain tops, lochs, rivers and moorland are home to a quarter of the UK's threatened species.
