Part of the fun of being on holiday or a long weekend is finding great places to eat out or where you can buy great local food and drink.  The great British countryside caters for all tastes and requirements - so it's time to enjoy being a good few miles away from your nearest superstore!

Cheshire cheese is one of the oldest recorded named cheeses in British history. Cheshire cheese is a dense and crumbly cheese produced in the English county of Cheshire, and four neighbouring counties.

There are a number of breweries, Weetwood Ales, Wincle Beer Co, Beartown Brewery Ltd, Frodsham Brewery, Storm Brewing, to name a few. 

Cheshire has very good selection of Farm Shops such as The Hollies, Rose Farm Shop, Cheerbrooks Farm Shop, Red House Farm, Davenports Farm shop, offering the finest selection of food and drinks.

There are a number of Food Festivals in Cheshire towns and Cities, the main one being The Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival which takes place at Easter, the International Cheese Awards are held in July at Nantwich Show. Congleton, Tatton Park and Arley Hall all have their own food festivals as well.

Also Cheshire Ice Cream is very popular throughout the region and there are a number of farms offering hundreds of flavours including Cheshire Ice Cream Adventure Park @ The Ice Cream Farm, Snugburys, Daresbury Dairy, Seven Sisters Ice Cream Farm and Great Budworth Real Dairy Ice Cream Farm are a selection of Cheshire ice Cream Farms. Obviously as Cheshire traditionally was mainly dairy farms, cheese and ice cream are local specialities!

This means guests can have days out either just sampling the flavours of the cheese, ice cream and beers or they can take a day course in making beer, cheese and even kids Pizza making classes are available at some locations.
