Delamere Forest

Tatton Park

Bickerton Hill
This is one of Cheshire's most popular route with walkers, on the Sandstone Trail. It's not for the faint hearted but you will be rewarded throughout with stunning views of the surrounding valleys. On clear days it is possible to see as far as the Liver Building and Ellesmere Port.
Countess of Chester Country Park
The Countess of Chester Country Park brings the countryside closer to the city, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy natural and peaceful surroundings as you wander around the park’s pathways. It's ideal for families who want to go out for a stroll or enjoy a picnic in the countryside.
Caldy Valley Nature Park
Caldy Nature Park in Great Boughton is a small area of wetland, woodland and meadows situated extremely close to Chester city centre.
Beeston Crag
This circular walk is 3.75 miles long and will take you around three and a half hours. It’s a fairly easy walk through Beeston and the stunning
Peckforton Hills.
The North Cheshire Way
A 71-mile (114 km) long-distance footpath in Cheshire. It runs approximately eastwards from Hooton railway station on the Wirral peninsula to Disley railway station on the edge of the Peak District, where it connects with the Gritstone Trail. There is a 6-mile (9.7 km) spur from Chester to Croughton.

Dunham Massey
Enjoy the woodland glades, a deer park, the gardens and the house on this pleasant stroll around the Dunham Massey estate near Altrincham. The terrain is very easy on the whole, but be aware that the rain leaves patches of the ground quite marshy. Deer roam freely throughout the park, so dogs must be kept on a lead.
