There is something to suit every level of cyclist in Shropshire, whether you want to potter with the family around the quiet lanes and cycle routes or experience the challenge and adrenaline rush of off road cycling in the Shropshire Hills.
The Market towns are a good place to start with many promoting circular cycle routes around the town or out into the countryside. Head for the North of the County for gentle cycling around the meres or if you prefer more hilly terrain the Shropshire Hills are the place to be. The Forestry Commission allows access in many parts of the County for excellent mountain biking and there are several cycle hire companies around the County.
