Southwold Pier

Southwold Pier, North Parade, Southwold, Suffolk, IP18 6BN Food and Drink, Great Outdoors

If one picture on a postcard could sum up an idyllic English Seaside destination it would have to be Southwold Pier. Decked out across the sea in the picturesque coastal town of Southwold, this pillared walkway has a magnetic attraction and something for everyone to enjoy! There’s so much to do a whole day can drift by while you walk the planks and explore this historic icon.

The Pier has recently been transformed with new branding and a new coat of paint. With their experience in luxury hotels and award-winning cuisine, there is now a fabulous food offering on the Pier including, new pizzas and paninis in The Clockhouse and an amazing menu at The Boardwalk. There is also a fabulous retail range in the Treasure Chest and a host of fashionable names in Seaweed & Salt.

There’s lots of entertainment. Test your skills and enjoy the thrills of the ‘House of Games’, or step into the bonkers, wild, whacky world of ‘Tim Hunkin’ and his amazing machines in the ‘Under the Pier Show’. The Pier is for all to enjoy with events and shows, or music to fill the air as you take a balmy summer stroll along the decks.
Grab a locally made ice cream, a sweet treat, or a bag of Southwold Pier fudge on your way to the fishermen casting lines from the end of The Pier. Pop into the shops for a potter around and pick out a memento of the day. Catch some fresh fish & chips and a bite of something tasty in the ‘Beach Café’, enjoy an afternoon cream tea in The Clockhouse, or stop for a delicious lunch in the ‘Boardwalk’. Here every table comes with its own stunning view, it is an especially beautiful setting at sunset or for a romantic dinner with the stars above and the sea sparkling below.
