Come and enjoy a relaxing break on our 1500ha hill sheep farm in a quiet location on the west side of Loch lomond with panoramic views of the Loch.

The family and farm participated in BBC 2's "This Farming Life".   At Shantron Farm enjoy the locally sourced Scottish produce breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs or Loch Fyne kipper, home made breads and preserves with a Visit Scotland's "Taste our Best" award.   Guests find it is an ideal stop to break their journey to or from the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. It also makes an excellent base to explore from the B&B, the west Central Scotland as well as all that Loch Lomond has to offer. On this working farm you will be looked after by myself, Anne, whilst husband Bobby will no doubt look out for you whilst around the house or out on the farm and look forward to welcoming our guests to share our beautiful setting.

Whether on holiday in Scotland or just up for a weekend break you will certainly relish this change of scene. Either walking on the farm or surrounding hills you will see amazing variety of wildlife flora and fauna.   Loch Lomond is certainly one of the world's most stunning and internationally renowned locations. The country's largest fresh water loch is now part of Scotland's first National Park in an area where for centuries, visitors have travelled to, to take in spectacular scenery, sail, walk and climb - and simply breathe fresh air.   Luss and Balloch - 10 minutes.   Glasgow Airport 25 minutes.   Glasgow 50 minutes by car or train.  Inveraray and Stirling 45 minutes.   Edinburgh 1 hour 30 minutes or 2 hours by train.

This is a modern house with 3 en suite bedrooms and is situated beside our farmhouse and is solely for you, our visitors.
