Holmeshead is a spacious 17th Century traditional Lake District hill farm of great character offering Bed and Breakfast between Ambleside and Hawkshead. All rooms have a peaceful, outlook and are cozily furnished and includes 3 piece shower room, TV, tea and coffee making facilities. A traditional hearty farm breakfast is served in the dining/sitting room each morning a great start to the day and suitable for business and pleasure. Its beautiful location just above the tiny hamlet of Skelwith Fold is peaceful and quiet, yet only 10 minutes drive from many points of local interest. Tarn Hows, Langdale Pikes, Grasmere and Coniston are all within easy reach.

Additional Directions Information

 The easiest approach to Holmeshead is from Ambleside. Leave the town on the A593 towards Coniston. After 1 miles, turn left at the sign to Hawkshead (B5286). After 300 metres, turn right along a narrow road running alongside the river, which is on your right.

At the next T junction, turn left. After about 400 metres you will see the sign for 'Holmeshead Farm'. Turn left into the drive.
