Harton Farm

Come and enjoy a unique rural experience on our friendly working farm near Exmoor, where we take pride in real food and genuine hospitality. There’s peace and quiet for adults, and for children, the chance to join in with safe and suitable farm activities that involve the dogs and sheep.

We grow our own pork, beef and lamb, and the walled garden and greenhouse provide around fifty types of vegetable, plus many different herbs and fruits, even nectarines! The flavours and variety of non-convenience food, honestly cooked on the spot and including home-baked bread, feature strongly on our menus. Home-spun wool is available too.

Around the farm, you can enjoy the changing seasons as summer flowers follow bluebells, orchids and primroses. You can sit on a bench and see if your bird-spotting abilities match those of the RSPB surveyor, and then watch the sun go down in the company of owls and red deer, or peep from the purpose-built mobile hide to see if the badgers have come out foraging.
