Details

Relax and unwind in a traditional Oast House in beautiful countryside on a 'Ribena' blackcurrant farm near the Kent/Sussex border.  Close to Sissinghurst  Castle gardens.

Two spacious, beamed rooms.

Awarded five stars by Quality in Tourism

Dating in part from the C17th, this oasthouse B&B  was originally used for hop drying. The spacious,  ensuite rooms are furnished to a high standard in a fresh, clean and bright country style. An impressive choice of freshly prepared breakfasts is on offer every morning, including local produce and fruit from the farm when in season. Conveniently situated for many National Trust properties, including Sissinghurst, Hallwood Oast offers a perfect base from which to explore the sights of Kent and East Sussex

Visitors are welcome to stroll around the orchards and fields of the farm or to venture further into neighbouring Bedgebury forest.

The small historic town of Cranbrook  is just one mile away and offers a delightful mix of independant shops and eating places.  Known for it's artists colony, the smock mill, museum and church (the 'cathedral of the weald') it is a pleasant place to spend a few hours.
