Dairy House Farm

The B&B farmhouse was extended in 1876 into a wonderfully spacious family home with large rooms and many typical Victorian ornamentations. We feel very privileged to have lived here for the last 30 years and are delighted to share our home with all our guests. The kettle is always on the boil and there is tea and homemade cakes on arrival and we use local produce and homemade jams and marmalade for our real English breakfasts, although you may of course prefer continental breakfasts or perhaps a combination of both! Although the B&B has completely rural setting it is just a 20 minute stroll to an olde worlde pub in the village of Bradfield, and also to our village store. We are 4 miles from Manningtree Station and so just one hour from London (Liverpool Street). Dairy House is an ideal stepping stone to the continent via the port of Harwich; a base for leaving your car while you go on a cruise or a comfortable, relaxing place to stay for a short break visiting historic Colchester. Beth Chatto's garden and all the lovely villages in Suffolk. We have lots of information for our guests to browse through and you will find masses to keep you occupied whatever the weather! Our website www.dairyhousefarm.info will tell you more or please do telephone me and I will do my best to answer all queries and so make your stay as near perfect as possible.  We  now offer WiFi to our guests for their convenience.  We have a CL for caravanning friends of our b and b guests - just a 2 minute stroll from our house, but well tucked away and sheltered.  Check in and check out time is by arrangment with us - we try to accommodate each guest's perferred arrival time.
