Enjoy peace and tranquility on a working arable/ beef farm close to York's park and ride, convienient for visiting York and surrounding areas. A Victorian house with ensuite bedrooms.

A delicious hearty Aga cooked breakfast using local produce and homemade breads and preserves awaits you after a restful night in large en-suite bedrooms (one with king sized double four-poster bed, and two rooms with twin or super king sized double. All rooms are individually and tastefully decorated and have access to free WI-Fi facilities, ipod docking stations and LCD televisions with integril dvd players.

Wood Farm is situated in a tranquil position with no rail or road noise yet close to Yorks Park and Ride Service a must when visiting York City Centre. Herriott country, North Yorkshire Moors and numerous National Trust Properties are all in easy reach. We are also on the route 65 and 'Way of the Roses' cycle path.

Travelling from York on the A19 northbound drive through Skelton, drive into Shipton village and take the first left - Station Lane.  Continue past the school and over the railway bridge. Go round the right hand bend and the farm drive is approx 100metre on the left.  We are 0.5 miles inland down the tarmac drive.

From the north                  

Travelling fom Easingwold on the A19 enter Shipton village drive past the church on your left and the pub (Dawnay Arms) on your right. Take the next right Station Lane. Continue past the school and over the railway bridge.  Go round the right hand bend and the farm drive is approx 100m on the left. We are 0.5 miles inland down the tarmac drive.
