Enjoy a warm farmhouse welcome in this skilfully converted late 18thC Granary and Stable block which is attached to the B&B farmhouse.

Carr Edge is a working Beef & Sheep farm nestling in 700 acres of pastures and woodlands in Hexham, Northumberland. Situated in the historic area of the Hadrian s Wall corridor and 5 minutes out of the village of Newbrough Carr Edge is set in an idyllic location.

This traditional farmhouse is overlooking the South Tyne Valley, commanding spectacular views of the North Pennines and surrounding National Park areas. The Farm House is situated on a public footpath which leads to Hadrian s Wall Trail approx 1 1/2 miles and the Baden Powell Scout Cairn.

It provides an ideal base for walkers and cyclists and 'Walking and Cyclist Welcome Award' Guest Lounge & Breakfast Room. We offer a choice of an Aga cooked traditional Farmhouse breakfast or a continental option or vegetarian meal. All served in the ground floor stone flagged breakfast room. The upstairs lounge has retained many of the original beams and features and can be accessed by the outside stone stairs. Ideal for relaxing in with its colour TV, books and board games. All 3 guest bedrooms are en-suite including a ground floor room with walk in wet room. All centrally heated, boasting south facing breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and the garden area. The rooms are traditionally furnished and all have tea and coffee facilities, colour televisions, and hair dryers.

Arrival by car: Leaving the A69 2 miles West of Hexham Take the right hand B6319 to Fourstones Newbrough. Stay on the main road as you cross the River Tyne and follow it in a westerly direction through Fourstones to Newbrough. When entering the village from the east travel 200 metres through the village at staggered crossroads turn right off the main road up side of the Red Lion. Proceed up this (No through road) for 1 mile passing through the farm steading you follow the road up on to the hill top. Take the right hand road over the cattle grid to Carr Edge. Please keep to the right hand drive when entering the farm. There is a dedicated Car Park at the end of the yard for guests.
