CHOCOLATE TIFFIN
8 oz digestive biscuits, broken up fairly finely but leaving a bit of texture
Bare 2 oz butter
6 tbsp golden syrup
1 heaped tbsp drinking chocolate
Raisins, cherries, nuts, dried fruit etc. (I use a bag of mixed nuts and fruit and chop down the large lumps)
Pack of cooking milk chocolate
Melt the butter, the drinking chocolate, the syrup and sugar in a large saucepan and stir to blend. Add the biscuits and fruit and nuts - the mixture needs to be very moist - add more syrup if necessary.
Press down into a tin lined with foil and chill until firm. Top with melted chocolate, and nuts and cherries to decorate if desired. Turn out and cut into squares.
