Why Dorset

Dorset is a unique county found on Englands south coast and it is officially Englands sunniest county.

Dorset stretches from Poole and Bournemouth in the east of the county to Lyme Regis in the west both famous for their magnificent harbours and coastal attractions.

The isle of Purbeck in the south of Dorset with Wareham, Swanage, and Corfe Castle is renowned for its sandy beaches, and the south west coastal path. The county stretches past the Roman County town of Dorchester, Wimborne a historic market town and Sherborne with its beautiful Abbey and Castles to Shaftesbury an historic unspoilt rural town in the north of Dorset.

The Dorset Coast World Heritage Site is England's first natural World Heritage Site - it is known as The Jurassic Coast. It covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline from East Devon to Dorset, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history.
