Despite only switching to the UK tourism market as recently as 2006, Andy Woodward, Farm Stay's Chief Executive, has been recognised with recent appointments within the domestic travel industry.
He was recently invited to be a Fellow of the Tourism Society and on Wednesday 13 July he was voted onto the Board of the Tourism Alliance, an organisation that represents over 200,000 UK tourism businesses to government to help improve tourism practise and the profile of the tourism industry.
Andy has also been appointed by VisitWales to the Steering group for the Digital Tourism Business framework which will direct all aspects of technological development in Wales over the coming three years.
Last year was made a Vice president of EuroGites, the European Farm and Rural Tourism Association, which both promotes Farm and rural tourism across the whole of Europe while monitoring and influencing decisions being made in Brussels that directly impact farm and rural tourism.
