Any change in holiday dates will be subject to availability
The huts will be available from 3p.m. on the day of arrival and need to be vacated by 11a.m. on the day of leaving.
The number of people occupying the hut must not exceed 2.
We will endeavour to maintain all services but cannot be responsible for loss of water or power due to situations beyond our control and bad weather.
Pregnant women should be aware it is not safe to have contact with ewes during the lambing season, please check if in doubt.
Should there be any cause for complaint with your accommodation this must be reported within 2 hours of arrival.
Cars and personal belongings are LEFT at guests risk at all times. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to such items. - Guests are recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party’s personal belongings, public liability, accidents, civil liability, repatriation and damage etc.
The hirer agrees:
To be responsible for his/her behaviour and that of the other occupant, occupants if both huts taken.
To leave the hut in clean & good order, otherwise a cleaning charge will be levied.
To not smoke in the huts
To not take any pets in the huts
To respect other guests staying on the farm and keep noise to a minimum especially from 10p.m. to 8a.m.
To only use firewood supplied by us in the wood burning stove in the hut, no charcoal or coal to be used as it is a health
To not use any gas, barbecue or any other type of cooking equipment in the huts.
To report any unreasonable damage, breakage or loss to the owners and pay any replacement costs involved.
To pay a £100 deposit against which any loss or damage will be taken, the balance then being returned. - This will be given in an envelope in cash on arrival and will be returned when the facilities have been checked on departure.

Both huts have fire and carbon monoxide alarms fitted.
Each hut has two double glazed windows, pine lined walls, oak floor, 6' x 6'6" bed, table & chairs, underbed store, dresser, electric heater, light, wood burning stove, blackout lined curtains, a stable door (top half can be hooked back) and a supply of wood.
The kitchen has kettle, fridge, 2 cooking rings, microwave, crockery,cutlery, utensils, table, chairs, a supply of clean drinking water and plenty of hot water.
Parking is about 100 metres from the huts, there are steps down the the area where the huts are sited and steps up to each hut with a hand rail. The huts are not suited to people with any limited mobility.
We have a half mile drive with a slightly uneven surface and a sharp bed in the middle.

Set in a peaceful rural location on our family run beef/sheep farm the Shepherd's Hut has far reaching views over rolling countryside. The cosy Shepherd's Hut offers a chance to get away from it all, switch off, relax and be a one with nature. The Hut is far enough apart for complete privacy but close enough if two couples wish to holiday together
Wake to bird song, the occasional sheep bleat or a cow moo, drift off to an owl hoot or fox bark in the wood below. Amazing sunsets and some wonderful star lit skies.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the farm and to meet the animals. Lambing time is popular when guests, if they want, can watch a birth (lambing mid April to end of May). We have beef cattle and sheep out around the field in the summer, a working collie dog, farm cats and a horse.
Large 5' x 6'6" beds, table and chairs, under bed store, dresser, electric heater and wood burning stove. We supply wood for the wood burning stoves and fire pits if required. Also electric heating and power in the huts. The kitchen has fridge, kettle, microwave, cooking rings, table and chairs. Clean drinking water and loads of hot water.
North Buckham Farm is an ideal base for walking either around the farm area or down on the coast, riding available at two locatins nearby or bring your own horse and enjoy the off farm riding (one stable available, turn out for two). Great location for photography, star gazing, painting, writing (start that novel now!) The coast is 20 minures away to West Bay harbour 35 minutes to Lyme Regis. Fossil hunting and fishing are both popular.

Additional Directions Information
From Bridport take A3066 through Melplash to Beaminster. Drive through Beaminster staying on the A3066 as you leave town towards Crewkerne, you will drive up hill and eventually go through a road tunnel. Immediately after the tunnel take the right turn signed Maiden Newton 9 miles. Go up through the trees past South Buckham, we are the next left. See last two paragraphs to identify our driveway.
If approaching from the opposite direction from London, M3, A303. Leave the A303 on the Crewkerne exit A356. Stay on A356 through Crewkerne. After Misterton village take right turn onto the A3066 and go through Mosterton village. After Mosterton stay on the A3066 and just before the road tunnel turn left, sign says Maiden Newton 9. Go up through trees past the entrance to South Buckham and we are next (second) entrance on your left.
From Dorchester via Maiden Newton. After Maiden Newton stay on the A356 towards Crewkerne, you will pass a petrol station on your left. Do not take next left signed to Beaminster (Evershot to your right) but after that turning just after the parking place is an unsigned offshoot to your left, take it! There is a grass triangle at this junction. You will go past a farm called Kitwhistle on your left and then come out at a staggered crossroads, go over crossroads and we are the fourth entrance on your right.
At the top of our driveway there is a bridleway sign to Mosterton pointing down and the telegraph poles come over the hill from Beaminster and down it. When you look in the entrance there is our farm name on a large white and green sign and a reflective Farmstay sign on the first telegraph pole.
Our driveway is ½ mile long with a sharp left hand bend halfway down, the surface can be uneven in places please take it slowly.
