Blossom Cottage has been on the map of Kilhenzie Castle for centuries. Originally used for housing Dairy and Farm workers it was lovingly refurbished in 2009 by the Briggs family.

Many characteristic features still remain while both modern facilities and tasteful decor have been updated throughout. The groundfloor of the cottage includes a fully equiped modern oak-door kitchen, cosy living space with woodburning stove, utility room with washing and drying facilities, toilet and a kingsize bedroom. The groundfloor kingsize suite can also be split into a twin consisting of x 2 4ft 6' singles. The woodburning stove is a charming focal point as it provides the heating system for the cottage, including radiators and hot water. Upstairs is a stunning large shower room with full length mirrored doors and a further kingsize bedroom.

Secure gardens to the front and side of the cottage are ideal play areas for children and/or pets. Outside accomodation for dogs, storage of golf clubs/bikes/fishing rods is securely situated adjacent to the back entrance to the property. There is also off-road parking at the front of the cottage.

Additional Directions Information

Take the A77 road heading south to Stranraer from Ayr. About 10 miles from Ayr you will enter Maybole town. Travel along Maybole High Street (still A77) until you pass the petrol garage on the right and appear to be leaving the main shopping area. On the left there is a road signposted for Daily and Kilkerran, take this road and travel out of the town, over the speedbumps. Travel about 1.5 miles from the edge of the town. Pass Auchenwynd ( 2 storey white farmhouse) and continue  about 1/2 mile to the next property on the left (Lodge Cottage) where the entrance to Kilhenzie is also on the left. Cross the cattle grid and follow the road down to the right (signposted 'Farm') You will approach the cottage once past the orchard.

Use postcode KA19 7SB on SatNav devices but this will only bring you as far as Auchenwynd (2 storey white house) continue past for 1/2 mile to meet the entrance to Kilhenzie as described above.
