Comfortable Self Catering Cottages on a working farm with facilities including swimming pool complex, indoor and outdoor play areas and free activities during the school holidays.

The Olde House, owned by the Hawkey Family and awarded Gold at the 2015/16 Cornwall Tourism Awards and 2017 finalists at the national Visit England Awards, provide wonderful family holidays on a working farm.

The cottages, sleeping from 2 - 10 people, are well appointed and cosy, giving you a home from home feel. The family offer a 'holiday for all seasons' and aim to provide a memorable holiday at any time of the year. Facilities include a swimming pool complex, indoor and outdoor play areas, tennis courts, farm trail and a bird hide. During the school holidays free activities are run by the family, including a farm ride, pond dipping, falconry, archery, woodland fun and a communal barbecue. The activities are a great way to meet other families and for the children to form friendships and get closer to nature.

The Pets Corner is open every day except Sundays and helpers are always welcome at the twice daily feeding times. Dogs are welcome in most cottages and the farm trail is a great walk for all the family to enjoy with their four legged companions.

The Olde House is situated in the small, picturesque village of Chapel Amble on the north Cornish coast, close to the popular villages of Port Isaac, Polzeath and Padstow, which offer a fantastic collection of beaches and award winning eateries.

With its very own play area, The Barn is our largest property and perfect for groups or larger families.

It is a spacious, five bedroomed house which has been converted from two cottages into one.

With slate flooring and underfloor heating, the open plan kitchen and dining room is a large, comfortable space with seating for 10 people at the dining table. There is an electric range cooker and an American-style fridge freezer.

Downstairs there are two double en-suite bedrooms. Upstairs there are three bedrooms; one twin en-suite, one bunk room and one large double room. There is also a large family bathroom with a bath and a shower.

The lounge boasts a 42 inch flat screen television with Freeview and a DVD player, a cottage iPad and its own WiFi. The log burner is lovely on chilly evenings.

The fully-enclosed garden features a barbecue and garden furniture. In the shed you’ll find a washing machine and tumble drier, and there is an external hosepipe for washing wetsuits.

The house has its own parking spaces at the front.

The cottage is at the quieter end of the farm and looks down towards the bird sanctuary, making the cottage ideal for those looking for a quiet getaway. It has a private garden with large patio area, a small children’s play frame and plenty of parking.

Upstairs there is a family bathroom with bath and over shower, a twin bedroom, a king size bedroom and a family room with a king size bed, bunk beds and an ensuite. There is also a large downstairs king size bedroom with ensuite.

Downstairs there is a spacious dining room with a locally made table to seat 10. The separate kitchen is well equipped and features a large electric range. Under the stairs we’ve made space for a small children’s snug with a TV and DVD player. The lounge has a log burner and oak floor, along with a large flat screen TV, DVD and music system. There are large sliding doors that open out onto the patio and south facing garden, which is quite a sun trap.

Ridgeway Park is a 4 bedroomed house in a rural location and has been award the Visit England 5 Star Gold award – just a few minutes drive from the Olde House Complex, where guests have full access to all the facilities and activities. Ideal for that family get-together to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, staying with friends or even that romantic get-away. The village of Chapel Amble just 1.5 miles away.

The property occupies a site on its own, set in nearly 0.5 acre of grounds, with amazing uninterrupted countryside views as far as the Camel Estuary and Roughtor on Bodmin Moor.

On arrival you will find a welcome Cornish hamper, home made cream tea and fresh lilies in the hallway, plus all the beds made up for your arrival, with towels provided.

The large entrance hall leads to the kitchen/dining area, with bi-fold doors leading to decking (with additional seating for al fresco dining) plus sliding door to the side onto more decking. The kitchen with granite worktops and electric range, nespresso coffee machine plus all that you require for everyday living.

The lounge, on the whole of the first floor, has underfloor heating, TV/Blu Ray player and wood burner. Bi-fold doors take you onto the large balcony with stunning views of all the surrounding countryside – few properties enjoy a view like this over so much Cornish countryside. At the other end double doors, with Juliet balcony, overlook the garden area. We have created a small children’s area at this end, with TV/DVD and beanbags.

As well as the kitchen/dining area (with TV) the ground floor comprises of four bedrooms:
