For family holidays, Greenwell Hill Farm offers children the chance to see a real farm. Nearby, family oriented activities include Pony Trekking, Trout Fishing, mountain biking or just good old walking in the Durham Dales.
 

Within easy reach of many leading attractions like Raby Castle, Durham Cathedral, Beamish Museum and Durham Cricket Club, Greenwell Farm is the ideal place to stay.  These traditional Weardale farm buildings have been sensitively converted to attractive sandstone cottages, offering a high standard of self catering accommodation which includes modern central heating, double glazing, television, freeview & DVD, spring water supply and en-suite bathrooms. Modern kitchen facilities include fridge freezer, microwave and an electric oven. Comfortable and prettily furnished, this farmhouse style accommodation boasts honey pined furniture, fitted carpets and natural pine beams.

The Byre cottage sleeps 2+2. It has a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/lounge on the ground floor. An additional two single beds are located on a mezzanine balcony above the lounge area.

The Stables cottage sleeps 6. It has two en-suite bedrooms, one four poster double and a family room on the ground floor with an open plan kitchen and lounge with wood burning stove on the first floor.

The Barn Cottages sleeps 13. It has 1 triple room, 2 twin and fthree double rooms all en-suite. Two lounge and kitchen areas, the largest on the ground floor is most unusual being circular and 22 ft in diameter ideal for large groups to socialise/dine together.
