Meadow Sweet Cottage

Meadow Sweet is a beautifully converted stone barn just 1 mile outside of Okehampton in the hear of glorious Devon.

Meadow Sweet has been awarded 4 stars by Visit Britain  and  is slso  walkers and cyclist friendly.

Meadow Sweet is fully detached, and is set in tranquil grounds enjoying idyllic views over grazing sheep and cattle behind which is Okehampton and the vast expense of Darmoor National Park.

Perfect location for walking holidays as it is located on the edge of Abbyford Woods which is abundant with wildlife. There are marked foot paths to walk as well has the world famous Tarka Trail, which is just a stroll wayay from the front door.

Meadow Sweet is a lovely country cottage. Ther is ample parking outside, a picnic and BBQ area and plenty of grounds for children to play in. It sleeps 2-4 and a cot can be privided if required.

The cottage has a cosy sitting room with TV video and DVD, lots of local information,the country style kitchen as an electric cooker, microwave, and fridge fresser a welcome basket of fresh local produce will be waiting for you to get your holiday off to a good start. the kitchen leads to the pelasant  dinning room.  there is also a wc and shower down stairs.

Upstairs overlooking the fields is a romantic master bedroom with double bed, and a pretty twin room with views over Okehampton and Dartmoor. Beds are made realy for you when you arrive and two towels per guest are supplied, The bath room has a WC had basin and a bath with overhead shower.

Visitors to Meadow Sweet are always  very welcme to walk up to the farm, which is about 100 meters away to see the sheep and lambs, ducks. geese and chichen. here fresh eggs are also available for you to buy.
