Two beautiful detached holiday cottages on a peaceful farm in the South Downs National Park. Victorian Coach House sleeps 2 and 17th Century Granary (3 en-suite rooms) sleeps 6.

Stubbs Farm is ideally situated for holidays, offering a peaceful rural retreat in idyllic surroundings.  Set in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, in the South Downs National Park, enjoy stunning views and an abundance of birds and wildlife with barn owls and roe deer often seen.  Plenty of scenic walks from the door.

We have a choice of two beautiful detached holiday cottages; Victorian Coach House sleeps 2 and 17th Century Granary with 3 en-suite bedrooms sleeps 6. Attractively and comfortably furnished they are well equipped and each has its own garden with furniture and BBQ.  Central heating, electricity, linen and towels are included in the price.  A welcome tray of tea and home-made cake awaits your arrival. There is a wealth of places to visit for all ages.  We are close to Jane Austen's Chawton, Selborne, Watercress Line Steam Railway, Birdworld and more.  National Trust properties, Winchester, Windsor (Castle & Legoland), Highclere Castle (film location for Downton Abbey) New Forest, Portsmouth and coast are within easy driving distance.  Besides HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose, Portsmouth offers maritime museums and ferries to the Isle of Wight for an excellent day out.  We are only 5 miles from Alton where you will find a good selection of shops and take-aways and a mainline station where you can take a train to London (1 hour).  There are a number of golf courses in the area offering pay & play options.  An excellent choice of pubs and restaurants can be found in nearby villages.

This is an ideal location for discovering Hampshire and the South or simply relaxing in lovely surroundings.

SHORT BREAKS - We offer out of season mid-week short break holidays for 4 nights starting on a Monday (excluding Christmas, New Year & Easter).  Mid-week short breaks can be booked in advance except for October & February half term holidays.

A delightful Victorian Coach House offering beautifully presented first-floor accommodation with wonderful views over unspoilt countryside. It is well furnished and fully equipped to provide a cosy holiday home for two.  There is a south facing garden with furniture and BBQ.

Downstairs - entrance hall with utility area, separate drying room, integral garage.

Upstairs - kitchen/dining room, spacious lounge, double bedroom, bathroom/wc with over bath shower.

 

Facilities include:

Electric cooker microwave, fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine and tumble dryer, iron/ironing board, TV, DVD player, radio/cd player, Central heating.  All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided.  An assortment of books, magazines and games are available in the lounge together with information on places to visit and eat out.

We are sorry but we are unable to accommodate pets at The Coach House.

A warm welcome to this comfortable cottage heralded the start of an excellent week.  Good walks from the front door and several sightings of the barn owls.

Prepare yourself for a surprise when you see The Granary - it is much bigger than most people expect and provides spacious living for six people.

The Granary is a detached, beautifully converted17th Century listed barn with exposed beams and spacious rooms. Attractively furnished, it is fully equipped to make a comfortable family holiday home.  There is a small garden area and enclosed patio with furniture and BBQ. 

Downstairs: Spacious lounge, dining room, well equipped kitchen, utility room/wc

Upstairs: 3 bedrooms - 2 double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower room/wc and 1 twin bedroom with wet room/wc

Facilities include:

Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron/ironing board, TV, DVD player, radio/cd player, Central heating.  All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. We have had a lovely week here, so much to see and do.  Hosts are welcoming and friendly, the farm walk is great, seen both the owls and deer.

Additional Directions Information

Car arrival: Travelling from Alton on the A31 take the B3004 towards Kingsley. After approximately 4 miles, just before the village of Kingsley, turn left to South Hay. After 1 mile turn left at sign 'Stubbs Farm-no through road'. Continue for 450 yards to the farmhouse at the very end. The Granary is on your left. Travelling from the A325 between Farnham and Petersfield turn west at traffic lights on to the B3004 towards Alton. Through the village of Kingsley and just after leaving the village turn right to South Hay. After 1 mile turn left at sign 'Stubbs Farm-no through road'. Continue for 450 yards to the farmhouse at the very end. The Granary is on your left.
