Helme Pasture Lodges & Cottage

Helme Pasture was a typical Dales hillside farm mainly consisting of prize winning conservation woodland. While no longer a working farm, the farmhouse has been renovated for the existing family and has two cottages for holiday guests, as well as the Scandinavian lodges. There is extensive woodland, managed with the help of Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty volunteers. The woodland contains surface remains of hut circles and enclosures. There are signs of charcoal burning, coppicing and various rural industries. It is now left to nature and for the woodland animals and birds to enjoy. You may see deer crossing your path as you wander through the woods. Pets are welcome by arrangement, and there is a fenced-in croft area for dogs to enjoy.

The accomodation is excellently equipped. A barbecue area, payphone and laundry service is available. There are extensive woodland tracks and magnificent views. Ideally situated for easy access to Harrogate, York, the Dales, the coast and Herriot Country. Warm personal welcome. The woodland has conservation awards, with local wildlife including deer. Ideal for bird watching.
