A warm family welcome awaits at Highbury Farm Cottage. This delightful cottage is situated on the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds in a peaceful village location. Tastefully furnished, well equipped, an ideal base for touring moors, coast, York and Castle Howard. Lovely country walks. Woldsway close by.
John and Christine Sawdon warmly welcome you to their 300 acre working farm in the village of Duggleby, North Yorkshire
The well maintained two bedroom property sleeps 6 + cot and is very spacious and particularly pretty in the summer months when all the hanging baskets and bedding plants are out.
Location is very central with equal distance to the coast, the moors, and York and just down the road is Castle Howard. The city of Hull with its aquarium "The Deep" and the attractive market town of Beverley are also within easy reach. Nearby is Eden Camp a World War II prisoner of war camp museum, Flamingoland, a theme park attraction popular with old and young alike, the beautiful walled garden of Scampston and the Lavendar Farm at Wintringham. Plus much much more.
The rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds are particularly good for walking with the Wolds Way on the door step and we do allow one well behaved dog to keep you company.
There is a very large enclosed garden with patio area with seating and a BBQ and ample off-road parking outside the cottage. There is a welcome pack on arrival of coffee, tea, milk and home made flapjack.
Altogether a beautiful location and an extremely nice cottage well maintained by the owners. We look forward to welcoming you.
