Explore the Brecon Beacons staying at the Barn.

Dream in the beautiful bedrooms of the Barn.  

Discover a world of nature, steep hilly fields, hedgerows and walls, rivers and canal, caves, Offas Dyke, local churches and castles, White Castle, Skenfrith Castle and Grosmont Castle and castles along the Usk valley, Crickhowell, Talgarth, Brecon, Abergavenny to Llandeilo.

A haven for wild life, quite steep organic fields to walk and explore, leading to the Sugar Loaf , ideal for walking or cycling.

.The Barn offers Three Bed Rooms Sleeping Five  upstairs a family bathroom,  built in wardrobes, oak floors.  Bed room one offers a king size bed and  large original hay loft window looks up towards the Sugar Loaf, bed room two is single room with sloping ceiling and travel cot, bedroom three has twin beds with good views over fields and forestry.  Bedlinen and towels included.  the Barn is cleaned using green cleaning products & forms part of the barn's sustainable tourism.

  2. Graded 4 stars in 2011 and suitable for partially dis-abled guests / access for dis-abled guests awaiting improvement  and working with powys disability, brew point in bedroom and good spacious acess within the bed room and wet room.

 

 Downstairs spacious Kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, cooker and hobb, fridge and freezer, dining table with eight chairs, loads of work surface room, tiled floor. & t.v. We supply some dishwasher and washing machine green detergents ,fair trade tea, coffee, basic groceries and offer a Welcome Pack Taste of Wales,ask when booking.  Oil central heating & electricity included in price.

 Hall and down stairs shower room with w.c. The barn has a modern interior and is easy to clean.  A lawned area in the middle of fields, views of the Gilwern Hills, Llangattock escarpment wonderful sunsets over the Usk valley.

 Gravelled courtyard and Games Room.  Accomodation to sleep 7 in total.

 

 BBQ and parking.  Walks from the door to Sugar Loaf Mountain, longer walks to Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park, Bus rides available up and down the Usk Valley, which will also carry cycle bikes.  To hire bikes contact Drover Bikes from Hay-onWye, delivered to the Barn with maps on request.. Canal walks, 35 miles with in the Park, and acess to a hop on hop off bus along the way.  www.traveline-cymru info for all sustainable travel around the Park.

Crickhowell Walking Festival held at the end of February and first week of March.  Three Peaks Challenge which passes the Barn held last w/e of March, walk with good company.

World Famous Resaurants around the Skirrid Mountain are the Walnut Tree and The Hardwick, from the Brecon Beacons at Felin Fach is The Griffin, our best kept secrets on the food scene.  Abergavenny food Festival held in September.
