Barn Cottages

Barn Cottages at Lacock is close to the National Trust village of Lacock – filmset for Harry Potter and Cranford amongst others. With easy access to the World Heritage City of Bath and the lovely county of Wiltshire our holiday cottages are a great base for visiting the stone circles of Avebury and Stonehenge, the Safari Park at Longleat or stately homes like Corsham Court or Bowood. Malmesbury is popular for its Abbey House Gardens and as the oldest town in England. There are plenty of excellent walks along river and canal banks – Bradford on Avon and Devizes are very popular. Castle Combe is the quintessential unspoilt Cotswold village and well worth a visit and with fishing, golf and horse riding available locally there is something for everyone.

Our self-catering cottages - Maple, Chestnut and Cherry each have light and airy, double-height, open-plan living areas with exposed oak beams, downstairs double bedroom and shower room and a galleried sleeping area with twin beds accessed by a ladder staircase. This bedroom may not be suitable for unsupervised small children but in our experience it often makes the holiday for older children. They have french doors to a private patio area and Chestnut has a glazed wall which opens out onto a further small seating area.
