Hull City of Culture 2017

While not the most obvious of places for a trip out during your stay in Lincolnshire, Hull is just a half an hour's drive from some of Farm Stay's Lincolnshire properties and being 2017's City of Culture there is more than enough going on to fill a day! Light projection in Hull

2017 kicked off with a fabulous firework display over the Humber Estuary, with fireworks launched from barges lining the shoreline. This led quickly into a light spectacular projected onto some of the oldest buildings in the city.

Large areas of open space in the city centre are being used throughout the year for various different art installations.  The blade, Poppy windowa 75m wind turbine blade made in Hull, the poppy window and lego daffodils have all proven to be big hits so far this year.

With all this going on plus the opening of the newly refurbished free Ferens Art Gallery and the various other museums and much much more, Hull is definitely a 'must' while staying with Farm Stay Lincolnshire on your country break.
So why not search our Lincolnshire collection of self catering cottages or B&B accommodation and combine a visit to Lincolnshire with a visit to the 2017 city of culture.
