Established in 1934 as a private race track for personal use Cadwell Park has expanded slowly over time and has become the premiere racetrack for motor bike racing in Lincolnshire. Nicknamed "the Mini-Nürburgring” after its much larger and more famous German cousin, this racetrack is located near the town of Louth in the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds. The current track is 2.25 miles long and has three configurations: the rarely used woodland circuit, the short club circuit and the daunting full circuit.
With regular events throughout the year Cadwell Park is primarily used for motorbike racing, with the track considered too small for larger cars to race around, however vintage and smaller car racing does occur. The twisty and undulating nature of the track make it one of the best tracks in the country and a firm favourite with many who visit it. As well as being open park and woodland, there is the famous mountain section which riders usually tackle airborne, making the track truly challenging and a good experience for riders, drivers and spectators. The superbike championship is a particularly big event and proves very popular with motorbike fans. 
As well as these regular race days at the track special events also occur at Cadwell Park. The vintage motorsports festival is just one of the highlights in 2018. This is a festival features classic cars from the pioneering age of Edwardian car machinery as well as cars from the interwar years and immediate post war cars in assorted racing competitions. These provide and exciting variation to modern racing. If modified cars are more your thing Cadwell Park offers a chance to see these cars in action as well as purchase modifications for your own vehicle from trade stands during these events and a chance to chat with fellow motor enthusiasts.
