Whitehorse hill is the highest point in Oxfordshire and at its summit can be found the Iron Age fort of Uffington Castle.

Oxfordshire in general offers many miles of country walks through a county steeped in history and heritage. There is Shotover Country park offering nearly 200 acres of varied landscape and spectacular views. Or how about a circular walk from Kidlington?  Taking in  the ruins of the manor house at Hampton Gay, with views across the floodplain, the walk visits the tiny hamlet of Thrupp and along the Oxford canal towards Annie's Tea Room, with 2 dog friendly pubs also en route.
