Coastal Cottages Devon

Devon is the only county in England with two coasts: the spectacular north coastline and the tranquil south coastline, both part of the South West Coast Path. So it’s no surprise that the county also boasts a high number of coastal cottages, many of which are registered with Farm Stay.
Staying in one of our coastal cottages in Devon will allow you to enjoy a relaxing break by the sea. All our cottages are self catering, so you benefit from a level of independence and privacy not found at a hotel – able to come and go as you please, choosing whether to eat in or out. Plus every Farm Stay property is regularly inspected and graded by the AA or Visit England, meaning you can be confident that it will be up to scratch.
From our farm-based coastal cottages it’s only a short distance to one of the many sheltered coves, long golden sandy beaches, fishing ports, historic harbours and picturesque villages that dot the Devon coastline. North of the county lies a more rugged coast with waves to suit experienced surfers and adrenalin-boosting coastal activities like kayaking, coasteering and windsurfing. There are also however gorgeous sandy beaches for bucket and spade loving families. The south coast has a more gentle seascape suiting less experienced swimmers/surfers and sandcastle builders.

Throughout the county there’s an abundance of stunning walks along cliff paths, and numerous boat trips and cruises that allow you to see the coast from a different perspective. Or you can head inland to visit one of the many historic houses, gardens, museums and other attractions.
