A bird watchers delight with the variety of species we have on the farm. Explore Exmoor, Dartmoor and the coast is easy for a day trip. The choice is yours with so much to see & do.

Pretty picturesque thatched cottage full of character or perhaps a four poster in our Grade 2 listed detached stable conversion. Hele Barton dates back to before the 1600's and is located in the heart of Mid-Devon between Dartmoor & Exmoor, both can be seen from the farm. North & south coasts are both easily visited.

A family run mixed farm by the Gillbard's since1929 with cattle, sheep, chicken and cereals some of the things to see on walks around the farm plus fishing in the Little Dalch.

Award winning restaurants within a few miles. Local farm shops nearby selling great local produce. A perfect base for exploring beautiful Devon. Or perhaps you just want to relax & recharge the batteries. We have maps of the area and lots of info of places to visit.

Well equipped modern kitchen.  Lounge with patio doors to the garden. A wetroom leads off the hall suitable for the less abled. Situated at the entrance to our farmyard it has enclosed tarmaced parking area leading through to enclosed lawned garden & patio area.

Full oil central heating.

Free superfast WiFi plus a landline

Spacious rooms but cosy enough for a couple.

Sorry we do not take dogs in this property.

Local village of Witheridge is 2 miles with pub, newsagent & general shop.

Chocolate box thatched country cottage with enclosed lawned garden & gate leading to meadows and riverbank for you to wander. Kingfisher & otter some of the sights to see. 300 acre working family mixed farm.

Ground floor has porch, dining room, lounge with woodburner, kitchen, utility & cloakroom. Small room off lounge leads you upstairs to 2 bedrooms & bathroom.

Slate floors throughout ground floor.

Upstairs 2 bedrooms 1 double en-suite ( shower) bedroom with beams, and I room with double & single beds. Plus a family bathroom.A real place with character and for getting away from it all.
NB Please note the ceilings are low in some rooms. The dining room ceiling is only 6ft 1in. 
 

Witheridge 2 miles for provisions. Tiverton 11miles Crediton 8 miles South Molton 10 miles

Full oil central heating, Linen & towels included. Free WiFi, also a landline. Fully equipped for 5 people,  Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge freezer, and much more.

Car arrival: From M5 Junction 27, take dual carriageway to Tiverton, continue to roundabout, turn left. At next 2 roundabouts take a right. At roundabout (Morrisons on left) go straight across and right at next roundabout. Then take 2nd left B3137 to Witheridge. Travel for approx. 10 miles through villages of Withleigh and Nomansland. As you enter Witheridge turn left onto B3042 to Thelbridge. Approx. 1 1/2 miles Thelbridge Cross is on the right. Turn left towards Black Dog. Hele Barton is half a mile on the left. 
From Exeter, as you enter Crediton turn right at the Tesco roundabout up the hill follow through trading estate at end turn left then immediate right and follow road up Jockey Hill and on to road through villages of Sandford, Kennerleigh & Black Dog. Carry on out of Black Dog down hill over bridge & up other side Hele Barton is on the right with Stable Lodge at the entrance. White Witches you will pass just over the bridge before you come up the hill.to the farm.
