Access Statement B & B
Lorbottle West Steads Farmhouse B & B Accommodation uses several rooms within the farmhouse on a Bed & Breakfast basis. The farmhouse leads from the access road directly onto red gravel with parking at the front of the house with securer parking and well lit with security lighting.
Access is gained into the building trough the front door with 950cm opening (approx) with three shallow steps 6cm,10cm,16cm and door thresh. Guest lounge(to the right) & dining room(to the left) are both airy have good contrast of colours and well light with both natural and domestic lighting. All areas are fitted with carpet.
Bedrooms are reached by the staircase the first room by 15 easy steps 15cm high (approx) with hand rail to the left (ascending) twin room (can be made into a super king) with private bathroom to the left both rooms are carpeted. Large Victorian bath- non slip bathmat provided
Bedroom two is reached by a further 3 easy steps (no hand rail) which is a double bed, carpeted floor good natural light supplemented by domestic light, with en suite shower tray height 26cm tiled walls and flooring non slip pads provided in shower, no natural light.
The farm may not be suitable to all disabled people due to the location of the bedrooms, however all ambulant disabled people will be well catered for.
Mobile signals can be patchy and we find Vodaphone works.

We offer a Double En suite and Twin with private bathroom(bathrobes provided) Each has a well stocked hospitality tray, small fridge & TV.
Kick your day off with a light breakfast of Yougurt, cereal and fruit or go for the big Aga cooked breakfast using local sausage bacon and our own free range eggs all served to order. We use local preserves.
The farm participates in the countryside scheme and has an abudance of wildlife and walks from the farm. Alnwick and the coast are 20 mins drive,

Car arrival: Follow the B6341 to Thropton. Turn right at Cross Keys Pub, follow this road up the hill around a sharp 'S' bend and down into valley 3 3/4 miles. Turn left at Lorbottle cottages, which has a telephone box, signposted High Threwitt. Travel 3/4 mile and turn right at Lorbottle West Steads sign post.
