A £30 no-refundable deposit (per room booked) is payable at time of booking this can be paid by either, cheque made payable to Mrs E Gudgeon, or credit card, or bank transfer, with balance due on departure.
A minimum of 2 nights is usually required on Bank Holidays.
We are unable to allow guest to smoke in the house but outside smokers are welcome.
Guests are asked to arrive between 4pm & 6pm. If this isn't possible please let us know as soon as possible so that we can arrange an alternative time.
Rooms are to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure please.
Although we have dogs we don't allow pets to stay in the house.
Fire Safety & Access Statement
My B&B has 3 bedrooms for bed and breakfast. It is also our family home and we look forward to welcoming you.
When booking you will be asked for a letter of confirmation and a small deposit which is non-refundable. Then you will receive a confirmation letter.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
My House is situated ¾ of a mile from the village centre. Turning right into farmyard where there is ample private car parking, on level ground. Walking from the car to the main front door.
Main Entrance & Reception
Door knocker is in centre of main door. Small threshold at front door, width of door is 33inches. There are no steps into the B&B.
Public Areas - General (Internal)
The dining area is to the right of the main entrance, this leads through to the lounge area. Both the dining area and lounge are on the same level.
In the house there are 3 bedrooms, all of which are on the 1st floor, which involves 13 steps up a staircase that bends round to the right. The steps are 33inches wide and 8inches high.
Bedroom 1 and 2 have a 8in step into each room. There are no steps into their en-suite. Bedroom 3 and its bathroom are off the landing area and have no steps into them. The door widths are all 28inchs.
Bedroom 1 and 2 have en-suite with showers, toilets and washbasins.
The other bathroom is a private room across the landing. This has a bath with shower above, toilet and washbasin. None en-suite or the bathroom have steps into them. The door widths are 28inches.
Type Glamping & Camping
£80 - £70 per unit/pitch per night
Whether it’s a romantic break or just to escape the bustle of daily life or to explore the local area, The Shepherds Huts is a great place to stay.
A traditionally built Shepherds Hut that sleeps two people. It is well insulated so guests can stay comfortable and warm.
Life inside the Shepherds Hut is compact. You will find a beautiful en-suite and comfy double bed. A small kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster, not to forget the kitchen sink. There is also a tv and hair dryer, and wood burning stove to keep you toasty and warm.
Set in its own little garden area with wooden benches and a fire pit. You will catch glimpses of rabbits, bats, curlew, lapwings, pheasants and the two call ducks, and I am sure that Mog the cat will come say hello, she is often see peeping through the doors. In the spring you can watch the new born lambs in the field next to the Shepherds Hut. With stunning views and scenery all around the Shepherds Hut it is a great place to relax and unwind.
Don’t fancy cooking, there are two pub in the village with serve good food and both are in walking distance.
For an additional cost a breakfast basket can be delivered to your door in a morning. You have your own car parking next to the Shepherds Hut.
If you would like to bring your bikes, we can store them securely over night.
1 well behaved dog allowed.
Price for 2 people:- 1 night £80, further nights £70.
Deposit of £30 on booking. This can be paid by either card or bank transfer.
Includes:- All Bedding, Towels, Wood for wood burner.
Check in between 4pm-6pm.
Check out by 10.30am.

Once you have come into the village of Embsay from Skipton, you will pass the Cavendish Arms Pub on the rights hand side. Take the next LEFT turn onto West Lane(the steam railway entrance is on the right). At the next junction keep going up the road. At the T junction turn LEFT onto Pasture Road, we are ¾ mile from here. You will pass the duck ponds on the left, then Manor Farm on the right. At the right hand bend keep going up the road and we are the first farm house you will see on the right. (DON'T TURN IN RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE) but come up the road and turn Right into the rear of the house signed:- CROWN COTTAGE FARM
There is a large parking area. Knock on the door next to the bear.
