Three welcoming cottages idyllically positioned on our small livestock farm deep in the natural beauty of the peaceful Cornish countryside. Close to the awe inspiring North Coast.

The name Old Newham refers to our farms medieval origins. We discovered it over forty years ago, captivated by its unspoiled buildings and unique location. At the end of a half mile lane, no near neighbours, deep in a gently rolling river valley, three miles from the beach and yet easily and quickly accessible to all North Cornwall and Devon has to offer. We immediately started welcoming visitors and created our three individual cottages from the existing old stone buildings taking especial care in preserving and enhancing their charm and character.

Mid way between Camelford and Bude, Old Newham Farm is ideally situated for a laid back, 'get away from it all' holiday. Three cottages, created from stone and slate buildings dating back some 200 years are grouped around the old yard. They are quite different, both in layout and ambience. As much character as possible has been retained whilst bringing them up to the high standards required for present day living.

Nutmeg's Cottage - on three levels has two bedrooms, a double and a twin. The living room features an impressive fire place with galleried landing and exposed roof truss.

Stables Cottage – two storied with four poster double bed and en-suite bathroom. The twin bedroom has its own shower room.

Skyber – one bedroom cottage for two all on one level. All three cottages have full central heating, Nutmeg's has a wood burning fire.

Bed linen and towels are provided. High chairs and cots are available on request. Dogs welcome. Free WiFi.

Our small organic farm bordering the River Ottery is a haven of wildlife, buzzards, herons, otters, kingfishers and much more. We keep a small herd of Devon beef cows, horses, pet pigs, a few chickens and ducks and two pygmy goats.

With just three cottages and a maximum of ten guests at any one time, Old Newham is never crowded.

After entering via a useful porch you pass the pine clad bathroom with shower over a full size bath, WC and wash basin. The living room has two wing arm chairs, oak fireplace housing an electric wood effect stove  and pine dining table and chairs.

The well equiped kitchen area has a black granite worktop, dish washer, microwave, built in full size electric cooker and fridge/freezer.

This cottage has no washing machine but laundry facilities are available on-site.

The bedroom has a comfortable double bed.

Outside there is a private garden with furniture for relaxing.

Free Wi-Fi, central heating.

Up a small flight of slate stairs is the living room, open to the roof with exposed beams, impressive open fire (working) and galleried landing. The dining table and chairs are located here.

Going up a second small flight of stairs are the double bedroom and twin bedroom with two single beds.

There is a family bathroom with shower over the bath by the kitchen.

Outside is a private garden for sole use of Nutmeg's guests with comfortable garden furniture for alfresco dining.
