Stunning, tranquil rural retreat on Cornwall's Atlantic Coast, close to the beach and coastal path. Lovely refurbished Grade II Listed barns set in 8 acres of delightful grounds.

Five beautiful Grade II listed cottages converted from a collection of traditional Cornish barns close to Cornwall’s Atlantic Coast. They are situated in a delightful, peaceful location yet handy for all that Cornwall has to offer. Lambriggan's grounds include gardens, woodland, two small lakes, pasture and an orchard. Most cottages have wood burners and geo-thermal heating. You can walk to a local pub and the beach along green lanes and public footpaths directly from the cottages. We provide free eggs from our ducks and hens, and juice made from apples grown in our own orchards.

Lambriggan Court – the perfect place to explore all that Cornwall has to offer.

Guests come back year after year to Lambriggan Court because they love the high quality accommodation, its peaceful rural setting and the proximity to beaches, the coast path and great places to eat and drink. The local beaches are stunning, especially at Trevaunance Cove, Chapel Porth and Perranporth, and the cliffs at St Agnes Head and Cligga will take your breath away.

The Grade II listed cottages have been carefully and sympathetically renovated to provide modern facilities in a traditional environment (superfast broadband and smart TVs are great for cosy nights in by the log fire!). Lambriggan has a rich history and was once home to Thomas Tonkin, said to have been the inspiration for Winston Graham’s Ross Poldark.

We are committed to a green environment – most of our heating and hot water comes from geothermal ground source heat pumps, and we source as much as we can from local suppliers and artisan producers. Logs for the woodburners come from our own sustainable woodland or from nearby Devichoys Wood (where oak has been pollarded for hundreds of years).

We also produce our own apple juice from Lambriggan’s orchards, as well as eggs from our hens and ducks, and meat from our flock of pedigree sheep. Help yourself every morning to the freshest eggs it’s possible to eat!

The grounds are a delightful mix of formal gardens, woodland and pasture, with two small lakes and a stream. There are plenty of areas in the grounds to sit and relax, including a jungle house by one of the lakes.

A public byway leads from Lambriggan to a great pub (a 25 minute stroll away) and the coast. St Agnes and Perranporth are a 10-minute drive away, while the cathedral city of Truro is 15 minutes by car. Most other parts of mid and west Cornwall can be reached within 40 minutes.

Virtually all local shops, pubs and restaurants are family-run and we are happy to make recommendations based on our own personal experiences and those of our guests.

Additional Directions Information

Directions By Road

Take the A30 from the M5 just after Exeter and stay on it until Cornwall.  Eventually you will arrive at a roundabout sign posted Truro A39 in the left hand lane and Redruth A30 in the right hand lane. You will know you are at the right roundabout as there is a big wind farm on your right. Keep in the right hand lane and go towards A30 Redruth.  In 1.5 miles you will see a right hand filter lane and turning sign posted B3285 Perranporth – take this.

After a couple of miles you will arrive at a T junction – turn left onto the A3075 towards Redruth.  Almost immediately you will come upon a double mini roundabout – go straight over both following A3075 towards Redruth. After a couple of miles you will pass a pub call The Whitehouse – carry on until about half a mile further on you take the next right turn – signposted Mithian (opposite the turning to Healey's Cyder Farm). 300 yards further on take the first right hand turn into our track – there are two blue Lambriggan Court signs at the start of the track.

Follow the track for a few hundred yards until it opens out. There are some farm buildings on the left, turn right over the cattle grid into our drive (through the wrought iron gates). Follow the drive down to the “car park”
