Spacious cottage for 6. Amazing views, walks and wildlife. Cosy log fire. 3 bedrooms. Dining room. All rooms one level. Near Dovedale and Alton Towers. Romantic Short Breaks available. Lambs!

Welcome to The Orchards, a large detached self-catering cottage nestling in the Manifold Valley on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border of the Peak District.   With three bedrooms and a dining room this is a great place for friends and families to get together.  So relax and enjoy those amazing Peak District views.

Log fires, snuggly beds and spotless accommodation combine to make this a perfect family holiday home yet it is secluded and cosy enough for couples wanting a romantic hideaway (special offers for 2).

There is so much to see and do.  Fabulous walking country from the door,  two cycle trails nearby (and a garage for your bikes), pony trekking, quad biking, sailing - and Alton Towers is just 9 miles.  If you prefer calmer pursuits, visit Chatsworth or Haddon Hall, enjoy an evening at the Opera House in Buxton or a day at the Races in Uttoxeter.

Or stay local and picnic in our woods, with Hartington Stilton, Bakewell pudding and Dovedale Beer from Ilam.

NB There are 9 STEPS up to the front door, but once inside all rooms are spacious and on one level.  Sorry, but we do not take pets.
