Relax and unwind in our comfortable converted cottages with mod cons and beautiful views. Set amidst rolling, lush countryside on a working dairy farm in beautiful North Devon.

We are lucky enough to be set in a beautiful, rural landscape, cradled by Exmoor and Dartmoor National parks. Our old farm barns are amidst rolling and lush farmland and on clear days we have views as far as your eye can see. Imagine big skies, lashings of country air and the opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life for a short break or week-long family holiday and that is what we can offer.

Whether you want to hunker down and not leave your cottage or you'd prefer to come out and feed some animals and get involved - the choice is yours. We are well situated to explore the North Devon area - from the famous coastline to the Tarka Trail walks and forest trails around.

We have a large communal area where you can enjoy the space and openness of the countryside, kids can kick a football about, watch the chickens or look for wildlife. Enjoy a BBQ whilst overlooking the valley and breathing in the fresh country air.

Each cottage is well kitted out and has all the mod cons you'd expect - WIFI, Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker. The kitchens are fully equipped, the master bedrooms are all king size and sumptuous. Crisp white linen is supplied along with bath towels and hand towels.

We welcome group bookings and find our cottages are a popular place for a family gathering. Please visit our website for more information.

Additional Directions Information

From the M5, leave the motorway at junction 27 and join the A361 link road heading towards Barnstaple. Sat nav's will offer various (and interesting) ways to get to us but we recommend you go via South Molton which keeps you on the main roads and is (in our opinion) less stressful than the 20+ minutes of driving through unknown lanes with little phone signal. Once on the A361 take the second exit at Bollam roundabout staying on the A361, signposted Barnstaple, carry on that road until you reach the next roundabout ( a good 16 miles away) take the first exit onto the B3226 signposted South Molton, and drive all the way through South Molton, keeping left through the 'Square' and dropping down hill where you will continue to see various shops on either side of you. As you leave South Molton you should pass the primary school on your left, as you go over a few speed bumps and pedestrian crossing. Keep on the B3226 all the way until the road reaches an end junction (Fortesque Cross) this should take about 20 minutes to get to. Turn left sign posted Exeter and follow this road for about half a mile. There will be a road sign on the right saying 'Elstone', turn left here and head all the way up the windy hill (narrow lane). When you get to the top there will be a sharp right and then a straight for about 100 yards, then a sharp left and we are the first right after that directly opposite Elstone Farm. Our silver sign Reads 'The Old Farm Barns @ Higher Elstone Farm'.
