This is our largest cottage, sleeping 7 across 3 bedrooms. The good sized double bedroom upstairs has a velux window affording views of the original, still unconverted, 18th Century Shippon. You can watch the swallows swoop and dive into the barn as they return to their nests. Along the corridor is the triple room which provides another good vantage point for watching the birds. There is also a family bathroom. The third bedroom is a practical ground floor twin room with ensuite.
The downstairs has ample living space for a group of 7 to enjoy a holiday without feeling crowded. The comfortable living room allows the family to relax together and the connected kitchen is light and practical. The Cottage is well equipped with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven and microwave.
A very popular feature of this cottage is the sunroom with sliding French doors. This is a lovely way to maximise the connection between the practical indoor spaces and the private raised patio area that is for the exclusive use of our Shippon guests.
There is also a dining and family room at the back of the property which provides ample space for the whole family to sit together for an evening meal or gather for a special occasion. The corner sofa in the family area is a comfortable place to relax and watch a DVD.
As with all our cottages, guests can enjoy use of the gardens, swimming pool (May half-term to early September), games room and join us for animal experiences.
Bed linen is provided, and all beds will be made up awaiting your arrival. Towels are not included but can be hired from us for an additional fee.
Changeover days are normally flexible except in some peak weeks when Friday is the standard changeover day. If this doesn't fit with your plans please feel free to contact us and we will see if we can assist with an alternate arrangement.
