Nine lovely barn conversions, grouped around beautiful gardens & ponds in our peaceful hidden valley on our family farm. Facilities include a heated indoor pool, sauna, games room & riding school.

Our Georgian barn conversions together with their beautiful setting are a delight to the eye. They are all graded 4 stars and the flexible accommodation is suitable for all groups and ages including the young and elderly. We offer many facilities, free of charge and open all year round, including a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, gymnasium, games room, gated children's play area, hard tennis court, lakeside BBQ, star gazing platform with superb views and fantastic walking. Children can visit the animals including donkeys, ducks, sheep, chickens, goats and even alpacas!

There is also a riding school on the farm. The minimum age is 3yrs and there is a small discount for our guests.

We offer clay pigeon shooting on the farm and dry and wet trout fly fishing off-site by prior arrangement.

For all guests departing on a Sunday, you are welcome to stay until 4pm, free of charge, to make the most of your weekend.

We are located within easy walking distance (10-15 minutes across our fields) of the historic village of Milton Abbas where you can find a post office, small grocery store, wonderful farm shop, fantastic pub serving gourmet meals and nearby Milton Abbey.

There's an abundance of activities to do locally with something to do or see in any direction. The Jurassic coast is just 15 miles away with the breath-taking scenery, fantastic walks and sandy beaches of Studland and Weymouth within easy reach. Dorset is a fantastic destination for all ages and has plenty of attractions such as:

Abbotsbury Sub Tropical Gardens
Weymouth's Sea Life Centre
The Tank Museum
Jurassic Coast where you can find the iconic Durdle Door, beautifully secluded Lulworth Cove and Old Harry Rocks.

Couples, singles, family parties, the young, the elderly, those seeking peace and rest, or frenetic activities, are all welcome here.

  • Riding on the Farm

    Luccombe Farm Riding Centre is located at our farm entrance and offers great facilities including an indoor arena, countryside hacks, lessons for all abilities and more.

  • Seasonal fruit from our orchard and herbs from our garden.

    You are welcome to enjoy our apples, plums, pears and other fruits from our orchard when they are available, as well as a variety of herbs form the herb garden by the BBQ area.

  • Fishing

    We offer wet and dry fly fishing on a private lake and beautiful chalk stream river in Briantspuddle, which is 6 miles south of Luccombe. We have a range of equipment available for hire.

  • Clay pigeon shooting

    Our sessions include tuition, our guns and a box of 25 cartridges per person.

The Granary, which is about 200 years old, once held up to 12 tons of corn. It has bags of character with a cosy atmosphere and is still sitting on original oak timbers and staddle stones.

Sleeps 4 in 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, a very large shower, single storey.

Our pig ‘Prudence’ once lived in the Old Sty, although as you can see from the images it has changed a bit since then! This cottage is 150 years old and is a combination of brick, flint & slate construction. There are old beams which adds huge character. It is single storey with parking by the door.

The name ‘Cake House’ is derived from cows feed that was once stored inside! This cottage is 150 years old and is a combination of brick, flint & slate construction. There are old beams, bags of character and fantastic views to the south over small lake.

The Stalls has been converted to a high standard, with two entrances. The cottage is about 150 years old and is a combination of brick, flint & slate construction with original beams.

For larger groups there is the option of an interconnecting door through to Lavender Cottage which is blocked when not in use. There is also the option of just having Lavender bedroom with Blossom (with or without the additional bathroom), should a 2 bedroom cottage be required.


Blossom was one of our favourite cows, she was incredibly friendly and loved by all. This cottage, which is named after her, was completed in May 2017.

Turnip was a much loved cow. When she was only a few weeks old she suddenly refused to drink milk, we found the only thing she would eat was turnips. Three years later she became the founding member of the ‘Turnip’ family. This cottage, which is named after her, was completed in May 2017.

Car arrival:

From Blandford take the A354 towards Dorchester. At Winterbourne Whitechurch (after six miles) turn right. Sign posted Milton Abbas - keep going for exactly one and a half miles and then turn left into our farm entrance (well signed). Continue on the tarmac farm lane for exactly three quarters of a mile - until arrival at the holiday cottages of West Luccombe.  You will see the distinctive Old Granary on your left.  All the cottages are signed.
