Westover Farm welcomes visitors to our 4 star self-catering holiday cottages, Barn (sleeps 7) and Cider (sleeps 6), which are comfortable character cottages set on a rural working farm in a peaceful village just a mile inland from the beautiful Jurassic coast.

Westover, a working farm, is set in the beautiful rural tranquility of West Dorset, yet just 1.5 miles from the beach and coast at Charmouth and 3 miles from Lyme Regis.
Inside, the rural cottage atmosphere is preserved with oak beams, a wood burning stove and comfortable furnishings, yet with modern facilities and comforts.
Outside the cottage has a securely fenced rear garden with a patio and good sized lawn, a brick barbeque and garden furniture.
Children and pets are welcome

Both cottages have an open plan living room, dining area and kitchen; three bedrooms; an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs shower-room.
Kitchens are newly fitted and fully equipped including large fridge/freezer, microwave, washer drier and dishwasher.
Central Heating is included, and there is a woodburning stove.
Smart TV and good WiFi.
The cottages share a Games Room, with a Pool table, Table Tennis table and selection of children's toys. There is extra freezer capacity in the Games Room.

An ideal base for discovering the delightful countryside of West Dorset with walks from the doorstep; the world-famous heritage coastline (The Jurassic Coast); and nearby Lyme Regis and Bridport.
Westover Farm is a grassland farm, with West Dorset hedges, and has beef cattle and sheep.
From Westover there is an easy footpath across the fields that follows the Monkton Wylde Stream (or Westover Stream) to the lovely beach at Charmouth. It is part of the Monarch's Way. The walk to Charmouth takes about 20-30 minutes. At Charmouth Beach there is the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre where you can understand and explore the Jurassic Coast as well as book fossil walks.
You can also catch the Jurassic Coast Bus Service from Charmouth that runs along the South Coast.

Cider Cottage is part of a beautiful barn conversion, right next door to Barn Cottage and situated on our working farm. There are 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 in total (1 double and 2 twin rooms) and ample parking for 2 to 3 cars. There is an open plan living/dining/kitchen area, upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room.

Cider cottage is within walking distance of the beach and stunning Jurassic Coast at Charmouth (where there is also an excellent village store, pubs, fish and chips, cafe and other small shops) and 2.5 miles from Lyme Regis where there are a wealth of shops, eateries, museums etc. There are good views over the valley from the cottage and there is an enclosed back garden with seating and a bbq area.

Our changeover day is a Saturday. Short breaks may be available outside of the main holidays.

Directions
From the North and West. Take the A35 going East from Axminster and Raymonds Hill. Turn left at the sign to Wootton Fitzpaine, about 4 miles from Axminster. Continue down the hill and Westover Farm is the first house on your left.

From the East. By pass Dorchester, Bridport and Charmouth on the A35. At the end of the Charmouth bypass is a roundabout. Continue along the A35 towards Axminster past the roundabout and take the turning on your right to Wootton Fitzpaine, about half a mile beyond the roundabout. Continue down the hill and Westover Farm is the first house on your left.
