Nutley Edge Cottages is a beautiful rural property overlooking the stunning Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. We are set on over 11 acres of rolling pastures and lush woodland.

Welcome to beautiful East Sussex, home of Winnie the Pooh and Rudyard Kipling, and famous for stunning natural landscapes and picturesque villages.

Nutley Edge Cottages is perfectly located to enjoy everything East Sussex has to offer, including the Ashdown Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are just a stone's throw from the Ashdown Forest, which was originally a deer hunting forest, but which is now great for walking and enoying spectacular views.

Choose from twelve cosy self-catering cottages and our 17th century Old Farmhouse, which you can book in combination if you are a larger group. Originally a working farm, Nutley Edge was converted into holiday cottages in 2011. We are pleased to say that Nutley Edge has retained its rural charm. There are sheep in the paddocks and our own brood of chickens.

Our Old Farmhouse dates back to the 17th century and is a beautiful mix of the traditional and contemporary. While you will be delighted by the original exposed brickwork and inglenook fireplace with log burner, you can also enjoy the large modern fully equipped kitchen, and bright and airy bedrooms, two of which are en-suite. There is also a 52-inch portable SMART TV with DVD/Blu-Ray player for a quiet night in.

There is ample parking available in front of the Farmhouse, and you are also treated to a quiet picnic area with wonderful views across the surrounding forest.

The Farmhouse can be hired as a self-contained, self-catering holiday accommodation or as a function space for events, family parties or group bookings.

Sleeps up to eight people. Three of the bedrooms can be set up as either a double or twin. The forth bedroom is a double. Can dine 20 comfortably around a table. Perfect for mingling too.

Rowan is one of our two well-appointed Courtyard Cottages, located at the heart of Nutley Edge, where you will also find relaxing outdoor seating areas and may even spot some of our resident chickens. Feel free to borrow the on-site BBQ on a hot summer’s day.

Rowan is a bungalow, and inside you will find a large lounge/diner with a comfy sofa and a modern kitchen, plus a television with DVD player if you fancy a night in. There is a wet room with shower and WC.

This cottage sleeps up to three people, and is ideal for a couple or small family. There is one double bedroom and one small single bedroom.

Outside, you have access to a relaxing communal seating area with potted plants and garden furniture, where you can enjoy a drink and dinner.

Nutley Edge is situated on the A22 near the village of Nutley, East Sussex. The town of Uckfield is 4 miles further south along the A22 towards Eastbourne. We are very easy to find. Nutley Edge is adjacent to the A22 and there is a clear sign by the side of the road telling you when you have arrived.

From Nutley:
As you leave the village of Nutley, continue along the A22 towards Uckfield. You will find Nutley Edge on the left about a mile from the village.

From Uckfield:
Follow the signs to London (A22) over four roundabouts. You will pass Nutley Edge on your right about a mile before you enter the village of Nutley
