In a quiet rural location, with views over the fields. Ideal for a relaxing break. Four comfortable, tastefully furnished apartments, in two converted 17th century farm buildings.
Cart Lodge (suitable for disabled) and Pond View are downstairs, each for a maximum of 2 people. Granary upstairs (its has it's own entrance) with a double and a single bedroom. On request a fold down bed can be provided in the single bedroom, suitable for 2 children. Courtyard stands alone, with two en suite bedrooms, suitable for up to 4 people. Plenty of car parking. Minimum stay 2 nights. Flexible changeover days. WiFi included.
There are two pubs in the village, as well as a convenience store and a local farm butchers shop.

Cart Lodge, has a kingsize bed and a walk in wet room with shower. Suitable for wheelchair users.  Pond View has twin beds, with a shower room.  By request on booking, the twin beds can be made into a suoer king. The Granary is upstairs and is suitable as a family unit.  There is  a double bedroom with a kingsize bed and a single bedroom, suitable for an adult or two young children, as we can provide a second fold down bed.  The Courtyard is a seperate unit, with two en suite bedrooms. Both rooms have twin beds, but by request, when booking, they can be made up as super kings. The downstairs bedroom has a shower room. The upstairs bedroom has a bath with overhead shower  All comfortably furnished to a high standard. Travel cot(no bedding) and high chair available on request at booking.  Watch the birdlife and enjoy a walk in the countryside.  Close to Abberton Reservoir; the Zoo, Mersea Island, 4 miles from historic Colchester.  www.ryefarm.org.uk  Convenient for the coast, Constable Country and Beth Chatto Gardens. WI FI available.  Plenty of parking. We have flexible change over days and a minimum 2 night stay. A quiet rural location ideal for a relaxing break.  Essex has a lot to offer, come and explore.

 A12 to Colchester. Exit at junction 26 and follow signs to the Zoo. Pass the Zoo on your right. At the next roundabout follow signs to  Layer de la Haye B1026. In the village turn left at the Fox Pub (Malting Green Rd.)  300yds  turn right  sign to Rye Farm.  Follow lane to the end.
