It is a working farm and has livestock and working farm machinery. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
10% deposit payed to Farm Stay UK and balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date.Reminder will be emailed in advance and if not paid within 14 days of arrival we will assume you have cancelled and that week will be reopened.

Hard wired smoke and heat alarms and carbon dioxide detectors fitted.
Fire blanket and fire extinguisher are available.

You will receive a warm and attentive welcome on a working, nature friendly farm. Cottage nestled in 300acres of stunning countryside. Get away for a tranquil and relaxing break.
A charming, listed 2bedroom cottage full of character and exposed beams attached to our farm house, parts of which date back to the late 14th century.We rent our 300 acre farm from the National Trust. It is a high nature status farm, looking after the wildflowers and wildlife aswell as our own herd of pedigree Dexter cattle, 250 ewes, chickens and Pygmy goats. Guests are free to explore the farm and enjoy walks around the picturesque countryside. We are close to Offas Dyke, Hay-On-Wye, The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. The cottage is comfortable, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. It has two bedrooms. 1 with a kingsize bed and the other is a twin with two small double beds. Kitchen includes a washing machine, cooker, microwave and fridge. Lounge has a T.V and DVD player, with a back door that leads to its own private garden. Cottage is snug benefiting from central heating and secondary glazing. Fresh farm eggs and Dexter beef (when available) to purchase on farm. 1 well behaved dog welcome. Parking for two cars.

From Hereford head for Brecon on the A438 heading west pass through Winforton and take the next right turn at Stowe signposted Brilley and Millhalf. Follow this road over a crossroads for just over 3 miles, at the junction turn right for Kington, follow the road for approx 1 mile then turn right on to Apostles Lane and then immediately right again onto a lane which is signed National Trust Fernhall and Cwmmau Farmhouse. Follow this lane down and bare left to Fernhall. The postcode brings you half way down the drive.
