*On the Kent / Sussex border,15 minutes from the coast, well placed to see the best of Kent or Sussex in either direction. We have 2 detached cottages, both sleep 4 persons each. One is an olde world conversion of a pigsty (Tamworth) and one a modern well appointed bungalow (Meadow) with huge scenic window to admire the views. Meadow Cottage will accept a dog by arrangement.
*National Trust such as Scotney Castle, Chartwell, Knole, Bateman's and Ellen Terry are nearby plus the castles at Bodiam, Hastings, Dover & Canterbury Cathedral and 1066 Battle Abbey .
*Locally we enjoy superb gardens such as Great Dixter, Sissinghurst, Merriments and Pashley Manor.
*Our area is popular with bird watchers, with reserves at Rye Harbour and Dungeness. For families there is the miniature steam train that runs along the coast from Hythe, the hands on Rare Breed Centre at Woodchurch and Port Lympne Zoo.
*We have designed a series of Walks around the farm for the exclusive use of our guests proving very popular with a chance to see wildlife and lambs.

On a hill overlooking Romney Marsh,the landscape is a patchwork of fields and hedgerows with uninterrupted views for 15 miles, traditional Kentish orchards and local vineyards.The farm is a haven for wildlife and rural retreat for people, where life has a more gentle pace to it.

*We have two 4 star self catering 2 bedroom cottages.Tamworth a converted pig-sty(!) with ancient beams that sleeps 4 and Meadow is a modern bungalow (will accept a dog) and sleeps 4.

*Both cottages provide quality accommodation, comfortaby, well equipped and fully detached with private gardens, fabulous views and a restful, relaxing ambiance. Time and again our guests remark on the tranquil nature of the setting as from both cottages you can watch the sheep grazing in the fields with beautiful sun sets.

*The farm walks give you a chance to explore and if you are lucky, foxes, badgers, woodpeckers, barn owls, little owls and pheasants, are often spotted and much more besides!  The trails really help to provide a memorable holiday.

*Within minutes you can be amongst the picturesque medieval cobbled streets of Rye with antique shops and tea rooms. Ten minutes in the other direction is Tenterden, 'Jewel of the Weald', full of historic interest, the KESR Steam Railway, not to mention an extensive choice of pubs and restaurants.

*For walkers there are plenty of routes to explore on the Kent Downs or High Weald, Birling Gap, the ‘Seven Sisters’ and Cuckmere Valley, Sussex Heritage Coast or even the White Cliffs of Dover. Day trips to London or France are very achievable.

*The safe sandy beach at Camber is very popular with children and numerous other beaches at Winchelsea or St. Mary's Bay have their own individual charm. The Smugglers Adventure Caves or the Sea Life Centre at Hastings are worth a look and both Rye and Tenterden have indoor swimming pools for the children should the weather be inclement.

Meadow Cottage is a rural retreat with comfort and peace and quiet. We have self-guide farm walk trails exclusive to our guests to enjoy the views and wildlife or relax and watch the sun go down with the sheep grazing. A Well trained medium dog is welcome with prior permission.

On the farm you can escape from it all - peaceful fields border the cottage to the rear and you can watch the sheep grazing right up to the garden fence! Comfortable, well equipped, warm and spacious, the cottage has a welcoming 'home from home' feel about it - a combination that our guests return to year on year.

Graded 4 Stars ‘Meadow’ sleeps 4 + cot by way of two generously proportioned bedrooms, one double and 2 full size singles. The huge lounge come dining area features a large panoramic window with extensive views over open countryside. Relax with choice of sofa or armchair, 42" Flat screen TV with Sky Free Sat, CD / Radio, DVD player and free WiFi. The formal dining area, with table and seating, completes the space.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, including electric cooker, fridge, microwave and separate utility room, with washing machine, tumble dryer and deep freeze. There is a main family bathroom, with a bath / electric shower over, hand basin, as well as a separate WC. The large garden is very private and the patio area, complete with garden furniture, relaxer chairs and cushions, makes a great outdoor dining area.

Double glazed, central heating and generously furnished throughout, there is parking for two cars to the front of the property. Bed linen is provided, along with a complimentary welcome pack on arrival. (travel cot / high chair can be provided, please provide your own linen for this). One well behaved dog by arrangement. Personally supervised and a family business for 40+ years.

‘Tamworth’ is a charming characterful cottage, with ancient period oak beams, vaulted ceiling and a warm, welcoming ambience. Built in the traditional Kentish style, historically, Tamworth was once a pigsty, but don’t let that deter you! Now graded 4 Stars, after a superior conversion, it's a comfortable and well equipped retreat where you can escape from it all.

The cottage sleeps 4  by way of a good sized double bedroom and a twin with two full size singles (additional travel cot bring own linen/ high chair can be provided). The triple aspect lounge come dining area provides a lovely place to relax and enjoys extensive views over the Rother Valley, with choice of sofa or armchairs, 42" Flat screen TV with Sky Free Sat, Radio, DVD player and free WiFi. The dining area, with table and seating for 4, completes the space, along with fully equipped kitchen, including gas cooker, microwave, fridge / freezer compartment, washer / dryer machine, iron and ironing board. The family bathroom features a bath with electric shower over, hand basin and WC. Hair dryer provided.

The cottage faces south west and the large private garden has uninterrupted views over open countryside. Peaceful fields border the cottage to the front and you can watch the sheep grazing right up to the garden fence! There are exclusive farm trails for guests to enjoy.The patio area makes a lovely outdoor dining area complete with garden table, chairs, & relaxer chairs and cushions. We provide a route map and detailed directions once a booking is confirmed and deposit paid. The farm is situated between Rye and Tenterden - 25 minutes drive from Ashford in Kent and links to the M20 Motorway. 60 Miles from London.
