The Old Granary is a family run, high quality, contemporary converted barn located on a working potato farm in the rural village of Owmby.

The Old Granary is located on our family farm and consists of three modern apartments in a converted barn which are ideal for both short and lengthy stays. We have renovated the original granary to a high standard providing a contemporary feel whilst maintaining the original exposed beams and features where possible.

Self-catering is made extremely easy with fridge/freezer, cooker and induction hob, Nespresso machine, washing machine, ironing board, iron and clothes airer, smart TV, bluetooth speaker, and complimentary wi-fi. As you’d expect with us being located in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside, The Old Granary offers easy access to a range of superb local walks and cycle routes.

We are ideally placed for easy access to local attractions including Lincoln Castle and Cathedral, Hull - The European City of Culture 2017 and a variety of local museums, art galleries, cafes and shops. The nearest beach is also just 25 minutes away and there is an award winning farmers market which takes place on the fourth Saturday each month in the historical town of Brigg.

Sleeping up to four people, The Gables was renovated in 2018 to be a modern and light apartment whilst retaining the beams and features of the original granary. 

The focal point of the property is its fantastic double-height living area, which is equipped with comfortable seating and a Smart TV.

The Gables’ open-plan living area leads into the bright, contemporary kitchen, complete with a washing machine, cooker with an induction hob and fridge/freezer and coffee machine.

Its two double bedrooms both boast en-suites – one with a bath and integrated shower and the other with a shower.

The comfort and convenience of The Gables spreads outdoors, with guests able to relax in the shared garden.

Additional benefits of staying in The Gables include underfloor heating throughout, a Bluetooth speaker, complimentary Wi-Fi and parking for two cars.

From M1 / M180 / A15

Travelling from Brigg towards Caistor (A1084), come past Bigby and up Bigby Hill. Pass Searby on the right and take the next right hand turn, signposted towards Owmby. Drive down the hill and The Old Granary is on the left-hand side just after the junction.

From Lincoln (A46)

Coming from Market Rasen, continue on the A46 towards Caistor. In Caistor, take the A1173 then immediately turn left onto the A1084, sign-posted Brigg. Follow the A1084 through Clixby and the crossroads at Grasby. Take the next left-hand turning, signposted towards Owmby. Drive down the hill and The Old Granary is on the left-hand side just after the junction.

From Hull (The Humber Bridge)

From The Humber Bridge continue on the A15 to the A180/M180 junction at Barnetby Top. Take the second exit off the roundabout and the first exit at the next roundabout onto the A18 towards Melton Ross. In Melton Ross, take the 1st right hand turn towards Bigby. In Bigby, at the T-junction, turn left onto A1084 towards Caistor. Pass Searby on the right hand side and take the next right turning, signposted towards Owmby. Drive down the hill and The Old Granary is on the left-hand side just after the junction.
