Otter Cottage is a newly converted single storey property on a small working farm in the heart of the village of Galphay. We are situated on the village green across from the pub which is a minute's walk away.
Centrally heated, the cottage features vaulted ceilings, exposed stone columns and oak beams throughout and is set around a pretty courtyard garden with lawn areas and raised flower and vegetable beds. There is also a large south facing patio for guests' use, accessed from around the side of the property.
Ideally suited for couples, we also welcome small families. Otter has an open plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen featuring oak flooring. The kitchen has a dining table and chairs, oven, hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There are dual aspect windows over both the courtyard garden to the front and pond and farmland to the rear.
The lounge has a wall mounted Smart TV with comfortable furniture and also has a window overlooking the pond.
The master en-suite bedroom has a king sized bed with dual aspect windows together with a separate door leading directly onto the courtyard garden. The bedroom has a dressing table and stool, wall mounted TV and hairdryer.
The light modern en-suite bathroom has a P shaped bath and shower, mirror fronted bathroom cabinet and shaver point.
The second bedroom has full sized bunk beds and a large picture window overlooking the garden.
You will be welcome to wander around the farm, seeing the different animals/pets , stroking the friendly donkeys and perhaps even bottle feeding the lambs at lambing time.
Otter Cottage has ample private parking on the farm and is open all year for holidays and short mid week breaks. Wifi enabled. Weekly bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.
