We have three beautiful self-catering, luxury holiday cottage, two with hot tubs, located on our working farm, lovingly restored from heritage farm buildings into one of Yorkshire’s most tranquil staycation experiences. Pets accepted, tariffs apply.

Set in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, Humble Bee offers a perfect location. All our cottages are an idyllic bolthole away from the hustle and bustle overlooking the Yorkshire Wolds. Two of our cottages include outdoor hot tubs. All cottage are dog friendly (tariff applies) and are perfect for a family break, from babies to tots and from pre-school to school age. Meet the farmyard gang and have a truly relaxing stay.

Humble Bee Farm includes three luxury Four Star Gold cottages, surrounding a peaceful courtyard on our picturesque working farm.

The cottages are great for a family holiday or that special occasion as they are fully equipped with everything provided, so you can enjoy cooking those fabulous meals using Yorkshire’s best produce! If you stay with us for a week or more, a delicious, locally-sourced breakfast pack is provided.

Humble Bee Cottage is a superb granary conversion, with oak beams, arched windows and a log burning fire. Both bedrooms are en-suite and have a luxurious yet comfortable country feel. We are a Low Noise Policy site, meaning you will have a relaxing, peaceful holiday.

Merry Dale Cottage and Swallow’s Nest Cottage each has an outdoor hot tub covered by a thatched gazebo so you can relax under the stars! Both are converted from stable buildings, and each have two en-suite bedrooms. All our cottages have excellent facilities, have central or under-floor heating and sleep up to four guests.

While we are a working stock and arable farm, we have a children’s play area/sports field, mini bees play barn, a reflection garden, cafe bar, farmyard gang and stunning farm rambles, and during the peak season we also have an extensive events calendar which you can take part in if you are a Humble Bee Farm guest.

Pets permitted, tariff applies.

We have free range chickens, a duck pond and ducks, a shetland pony which you can take for a walk, sheep, alpacas, goats, donkeys and guinea pigs!

We are a dog friendly farm, allowing one dog per cottage (charges apply), and with our farm rambles literally on the doorstep, there’s plenty of fresh air and exercise available for the whole family!

Meet Farmer Percy, see the farmyard gang, enjoy a drink in The Hive Cafe Bar (open selected dates and times), visit the indoor play barn, enjoy our reflection gardn, and explore our farm walks. We have a Scarborough Beach Chalet you can hire complimentary for one day, subject to availability.

Bedrooms inlcude one master bedroom, and a second bedroom which can be a double or two sinlges. Travel cots and high chairs are available. A small childrens z-bed can also be hired for an additonal charge.

Additional Directions Information

From York: Follow the A64 until the get to the Staxton Roundabout. At the Staxton Roundabout take the second exit onto the A1039 (signposted Filey). Continue on this road until you approach the village of Flixton. Just before you enter the village take the right hand turn signposted Fordon. Follow this road up to the top of the hill and take the right hand turn where Humble Bee Farm is posted. You will descend down a track until Humble Bee Farm comes into view.

From Filey: Take Muston Road out of Filey (A1039) follow it until you get to the roundabout. At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A165 (signposted Scarborough). Take the first left onto King Hill A1039 (signposted Malton). Continue on this road until you have gone through the villages of Muston, Folkton and Flixton. As soon as you leave the village of Flixton take the left hand turn immediately after leaving the village. Follow this road up to the top of the hill and take the right hand turn where Humble Bee Farm is signposted. You will descend down a hill before Humble Bee Farm comes into view.

Alternative route - from the A64: Proceed along the A64, through Rillington, shortly after Rillington, turn right towards the village of Wintringham. Procced to Wintringham, continuing through the village towards Helperby. Proceed through this village and through Weaverthorpe, Butterwick, Foxholes, then head towards the Wold Newton. At Wold Newton, follow the signs to Fordon/Foxholes, proceed through Foxholes towards Filxton and the A1039 Scarborough to Filey road. Humble Bee Farm is on your right hand side, signposted from the road side.

From the A165: Proceed along the A64 until the Staxton roundabout. At this roundabout, proceed towards the A1039 Filey Road. Proceed along the A1039 until you reach the A165 Scarborough to Bridlington road. Turn off at the signpost to Wold Newton. Proceed to Fordon, then back towards the A1039, signposted Filey. Follow this route, and Humble Bee Farm is on your right hand side.
