Layhead Farm Cottages consists of eight imaginatively converted old stone barns. The resulting self catering cottages have been carefully refurbished to a high standard.  

All have modern amenities, but retain both charm and character, and are warm and cosy, offering the guest a true home-from-home feeling.  

All the cottages have private parking, garden areas and good access. Perfect for holidays, family celebrations and small meetings.

Quiet and peaceful location, three miles from small market town of Settle, for shops, restaurants and cafes.  Convenient for the famous Settle/Carlisle Railway, and local attractions in Yorkshire Dales  area.

Open all year.

Comfortable roomy farmhouse which sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, two double bedrooms both en-suite with showers, one twin room upstairs with private bathroom, with bath and one twin bedroom downstairs with en-suite shower-room.

The excellent facilities and space make this cottage the ideal venue for a family or group. 

The holiday cottage boasts a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, oil fired Rayburn, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The adjoining dining room seats eight at a large pine table. There is a cosy lounge, open fire, colour TV, and DVD player. The farmhouse has full central heating.   

Enclosed garden at back and barbecue area with garden furniture. 

To the side of the house is private parking, a gravelled patio area with seating and a barbeque and to the front a country cottage garden complete with roses.

This cosy, south facing cottage has an airy living/dining/kitchen room with modern appliances, dining table and comfortable furniture. 

The original barn doorway makes a lovely arched window and the original beams can still be seen.  Views across the open field from both the lounge and the bedroom are breathtaking. 

The bedroom has a choice of either twin beds or a superking double bed (we need advance notice with your booking which you prefer) and plenty of storage space. 

Outside there is a private south facing patio looking over open fields. 

Also provided are a table and chairs and a private car parking space. 

Please note, this property does not have a seperate freezer but freezer space can be provided if required.

The barn sleeps 6, with twin bedroom and shower room on the ground floor. The first floor has been converted to provide a house bathroom, twin bedroom and a gallery double bedroom, which provides views both up and down the River Ribble valley.

The cottage is fully centrally heated.

The main living area, which is open to the original timbered roof, has a central open fire. The lounge area has TV and DVD. The fully fitted kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer.

From the lounge, French windows lead onto a sunny separate dining room conservatory with open views across theYorkshire countryside to the village of Long Preston and the hills beyond.

Let as a whole Mickleden provides 5 bedrooms, 2 with en-suite facilities as well as a house bathroom and separate shower room. In addition the property benefits from 2 kitchens, 2 lounges and 2 patios. The dining area comfortably seats 11 persons.

The lounge featuring a comfortable leather suite, TV, and DVD leads through French windows to a patio with barbeque and views across open fields to Pen-y-Ghent.
 
The twin bedroom has a spacious en-suite shower room with the capability of manoeuvring a wheelchair.

Downstairs is a cosy lounge with patio doors and open views, a fully-fitted kitchen and drying area and laundry facility. Full central heating.

A65 Leeds - Kendal road. Two miles north of Long Preston at roundabout take first exit then first left turn under Railway Bridge. Two miles to village of Rathmell, pass church on left, at end of village look for Layhead Farm Cottages sign, turn right into lane, follow signs to cottages.
