Shepherds Cottage is a lovely Grade II Listed Dale stone cottage of character with Rayburn stove, wood burner, exposed beams and Laura Ashley prints. The cottage is peacefully situated in a half acre grass paddock with spectacular views over Wensleydale.

Fully renovated to a high standard, this cottage provides charming, warm, spacious accommodation with every facility and delightful, old fashioned walled grounds. Shepherds Cottage is a delightful Grade II Listed 17th Century Dales stone cottage facing south and standing on it's own in a small field surrounded by beautiful open countryside. One of the earliest farmhouses in The Yorkshire Dales, built in 1633 it still retains all of it's former charm with original mullioned windows,beamed ceilings, feature stonework and pitch pine floors throughout. Downstairs comprises of an entrance porch, a cloakroom with wc. a large comfy sitting room and a cosy farmhouse kitchen with Rayburn stove. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two doubles, one with an en-suite shower room and a twin bedded room.There is a bathroom with separate shower. Outside is a flagged patio and a large grass paddock, a wonderful play area for children and dogs with plenty of parking. Visit Britain 4 star Gold Award.

Additional Directions Information

By car: Take the A684 to Hawes; at the bottom of Hawes take turning to Hardraw/Muker, after half a mile at top of hill turn right towards Askrigg. Past Stone House Guest House on your left. Go past the Sedbusk turning and Mile House Farm, carry on the road and the cottage is 1/4 mile on the left standing back from the road. Cottage sign on the wall by the gate.
