Step straight from this award-winning Georgian farmhouse into beautiful, wildlife-friendly countryside. Standing at the heart of our picture-book farm near Lindisfarne, this luxurious environmentally-friendly cottage offers a holiday to treasure.

Lovingly restored with care for the environment this spacious cottage has traditional exposed beams, deep window seats and a great 18th century fireplace. Several antiques offer a relaxed elegance, combined with the gentle green luxury of sumptuous organic bed linens. A king-sized bed dominates the Owl Bedroom and in the pretty blue Butterfly Bedroom are two single beds.

Almost an acre of secluded garden leads down to a small stream where a sitouterie overlooks the organic meadow beyond. It's a place to dream! A farm trail meanders through Hunting Hall’s award-winning wildlife-friendly countryside past ponds, woodlands and fields bordered with flowers.

Tucked away in a remote part of North Northumberland at Hunting Hall Farm, this beautiful, Grade II listed, stone cottage has been lovingly restored with care for the environment. Old-fashioned features include an inglenook-sized fireplace with open stove, exposed beams and an antique roll-top bath. French doors lead to almost an acre of garden with glorious views across an organic meadow to the peaceful countryside beyond.

The cottage has two bedrooms. There are two single beds in the Butterfly Bedroom whilst a heavy pine king-sized bed dominates the main bedroom. All our beds have deep feather duvets and pillows dressed with sumptuous organic percale bed linen and towels are heavy organic cotton. At Hunting Hall cottages we use only green energy and natural products, caring for people and our planet.

Hunting Hall is a wonderful place to stay. On the story-book traditional farm there are always animals to see; a Saddleback sow in a barn full of straw with piglets playing hide-and-seek, peacocks, hens and geese waddling about. There are acres of farmland to explore along a farm trail winding through wildflower edged fields that are a haven for wildlife.

A holiday at Hunting Hall offers a wonderful diverse landscape to explore. The Holy Island Causeway, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is only five miles away and there are long stretches of deserted sandy beaches with the dramatic costal castles of Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Warkworth and Dundstanburgh. Inland, towards the Cheviot Hills, the countryside becomes much wilder and there are some breathtaking walks through valleys and over heather topped hillsides. Northumberland has bustling market towns, picturesque villages, stately homes and museums. National Cycle Network Route 1 and The St. Cuthbert’s Way lie only 2 miles away, so it’s a perfect base for walkers and cyclists.

We hope visitors to Hunting Hall will discover the wonderful natural heritage of North Northumberland and help us protect this special environment. In 2009 we were delighted to win the North East Sustainable Tourism Award, in 2013 Hunting Hall won two Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Awards for Excellence; Sustainable Tourism and Farming and Land Management, and in 2018 Hunting Hall won the North East Rural Award for Farming and the Environment. We were proud to be presented with the North Northumberland Voluntary Forum Local Business Support Award in 2019 for giving outstanding support to our local community.
